Music Camp

A couple of weeks ago, I went to music camp at the Woodlands. The Woodlands is a place for people with all kinds of special needs, for example, some people are in a wheelchair like me and some people have mental disorders.

In music camp we sing, dance, and we play in the band. I got to try out playing the drums for the first time, it was really fun! That’s just some of the things we do, we also look at famous musician’s works and how they affect our culture today. The Woodlands Music Camp is technically an overnight camp, but I don’t stay the night. My counselor was really fun and we got along really well. The funny thing is she works at Wendy’s with one of of my best friends, lol small world!

At the end of the week we have a concert for our friends and family. We all have to wear black and white and we all walk on stage and take a bow while they say our our names. Then it’s on with the show! I was in the back but I got to go up once to dance, so my family could see me better. At the end of the concert we all sang the Woodlands Music Camp’s theme song. It was a fun week!
